Dear Michael and Ken

It was with great pleasure that I received your email and very kind offer to become the official Hereditary Chief of the Dalcasssians.

I have been watching with great interest over the last number of months, your progress in the setting up of the Dalcassian Council and of all the Clans that are now members of that council including my own O'Brien Clan.

As you say traditionally in the past The O'Briens have always been the ruling family of the Dalgais and it is with that in mind that I am indeed honoured by your support and request and I have much pleasure in accepting the position of Hereditary Chief of the Dalcassians. I am delighted also that it was an O’Brien, Mike O’Brien who has been one of the mainstays in helping you with the setup of the Council

You have all done a great deal to further the cause of the Dalcassians and I know that the Council will go from strength to strength.

I very much look forward to working with you all in the future and to meeting so many of you on my travels. I am hoping to be out in the US at the end of this year and will, I am sure, meet you then. The world is now a small place, made a lot smaller by technology, and the Council must stretch to all the “four corners” in its efforts to promote our colourful heritage and I will have great pleasure in helping you to achieve that.
